Separate to Elevate
How our environments play a major role in remaining stuck or progressing...
Hi beautiful souls,
I’ve been thinking about the importance of our environment and the people we are in community with AND how much we are impacted and influenced by them. There is a holy difference between being in community with those due to history, proximity, trauma bonding or other surface level factors versus being in community with those God has appointed and assigned to you. A major difference. A lot of us spend years dancing around the two and hold on to people, places, and spaces due to the spirit of fear, the spirit of rejection, and the spirit of bondage. Some of us feel the shift and pull from Jesus calling us to go higher and deeper, but we would rather stay on the shore because we don’t want to offend, upset others, be disliked, or rock the boat. Which leads me to say that we have made people our idol. We have made our jobs and roles our idol. We have made our gifts and talents our idol. We have made social media our idol. We have made environments our idol. We have made things our idol. We care more about staying in certain environments and in relationships more than we fear and obey God. Anything that we love more than God is an idol. And what a dangerous place that is because our Father HATES idolatry.
I’m realizing that when God is wanting to elevate or promote you, it requires a level of separation. During the separation period, loneliness creeps in and some of us would rather try to put our foot in a shoe that we can no longer wear than to be uncomfortable for a season (or however long God separates us). We look at the separation period as a form of punishment but we are unaware of the deep joy and intimacy we get with God when we drawn out background noise (obedience is better than sacrifice). Many of us pray and hope for things that we’re not ready for. Many of us pray for promotion or to be elevated to the next level but are not ready to give up or separate from our past, people, or environments that hinders that elevation. The longer you take to separate, the longer it will take to elevate. Plants can only grow in environments that are watered and nourished from the inside out. They can only grow when rooted and grounded in fertilized soil.
Being alone doesn’t equate to loneliness. God is always there and I heard a woman of God say, “We have to trust Him even when we can’t trace Him” (runs around the room because that’s so good). Some people (family and friends included), mindsets, places, and even an impure heart posture cannot go where God is calling you. Allowing Him to mold, refine, and strip away what isn’t holy is a spiritual discipline and when we’re surrounded by these things that are causing us to stay stuck, God can’t trust us with elevation.
If you’re praying that God removes people from your life who are not assigned to you, don’t be surprised when people who you never thought you would separate from are the ones God remove. We have to trust that because He IS, He will comfort you and replace what was lost. Some of us don’t hear the ungodly private conversations that others have about us. Some of us don’t know people’s true intentions for us. Some of us are blinded by ill motives towards us. But God knows, beloved. He sees and hears all. How amazing is He and how much does He love His chosen ones that He would separate us to protect and cover us? Past all understanding.
I know that there is someone reading this that is in a transitional period. You feel distant, separated or hidden. You feel that certain relationships (family, friend, work, church, etc.) are shifting and it’s out of your control. You feel like you’re in a cage or like you don’t fit in. You want to hold tightly onto your life because you fear that everything attached will slip away from you. You feel like others only have access to you because of what you can do for them. You feel like there are few people around you who are on fire for God.
So I bind up the spirit of fear and rejection and loose the power of the Holy Spirit to restore and fill you with the power, authority and boldness of Jesus. I declare that you will have the strong urge to repent and renounce the wickedness of idolatry. I declare that this year whatever God separates you from for His glory, He will replace it abundantly. I declare that this year will be the year or refining and pruning. I pray that your heart burns for the Father. I pray that as you draw nearer to Him, you will be able to discern righteously who is assigned and appointed to you and who is not. I pray that you have the strength to part ways with anything or anyone who hinders your elevation from God. I thank God for working all things together for our good because we love and serve Him. And it shall be so in Jesus name. Amen.
I encourage you to take inventory of your community and who has access to you. Are they holding you back or pushing you further into the Glory? Your elevation depends on your obedience.
I love you and there’s nothing you can do about it.

Amber , i truly enĵoyed the commentary,so enlightening. Please continue to allow God to use you. Love Granny
This is such and on time word!! Some will read this word and only take in the milk of the word then there will be others who read this word and it will be strong meat. And Holy Spirt will make it easy to digest. During any season of elevation we have to go under the Masters cutting shears. The cutting away does not feel good BUT it’s for our good and HIS glory to be manifest. I love this word so much because as kingdom citizens. We grow and go from Glory to Glory and each level of elevation will cost us. But be assured that after the cutting shears, there will be more beautiful fruit in its season. I love this Amber and so proud of your growth in Kingdom business! Continue to pioneer and release, uproot and help build.
